Kojo Afari

6'6 Free Agent Shooting Guard; Workshop Presenter

"Explore More Beyond the Court"

Kojo is a 24-year old professional basketball player who played with Hamilton United of the Canadian Basketball League. He didn't even pick up the rock until he was fifteen, but he fell in love with the game. After graduating from high school, he moved to Sault Ste. Marie to play for the Sault College Cougars for 3 years. By his second year, he was the team captain, leading scorer, and leading rebounder. That translated into Kojo leading the team to its first winning record in school history. Kojo used his last 2 years of eligibility to play in his hometown of Hamilton, at Mohawk College.               During that time, he was an OCAA Gold and Silver medalist, and he competed in the CCAA National Championship Tournament, finishing in the top 10 both years. Additionally, he is a two-time St. Lawrence tournament gold medalist, two-time George Brown invitational gold medalist, and 2015-2016 George Brown Invitational MVP. Kojo has a real passion for making an impact on the younger generation, and to have the opportunity to do this through basketball is a dream come true for this talented shooting guard.
